Osage Traffic Stop Leads to Gross Misdemeanor Charge
OSAGE, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — An Ogema man faces a gross misdemeanor charge following an April traffic stop near Osage.
Travis Jerome Norcross, 43, has been charged in Becker County District Court.
The complaint accuses Norcross of driving after his license was canceled as inimical to public safety.

Traffic Stop Began Near Osage
The traffic stop happened at about 8:15 p.m. on April 10, 2026.
A Becker County sheriff’s deputy was traveling east on Highway 34 near Osage.
The deputy reported seeing a vehicle without a working third brake light.
The deputy then stopped the vehicle and spoke with its driver.
Court records identify the driver as Norcross.
License Listed as Canceled
The deputy checked Norcross’ driving record during the stop.
The record showed his driving privileges were canceled as inimical to public safety, the complaint alleges.
Norcross allegedly told the deputy that he knew about the canceled status.
Prosecutors allege he still operated a motor vehicle despite that notice.
The charge was filed under Minnesota Statute 171.24.
The law covers driving after a license cancellation or denial.
Charge Carries Possible Jail Time
The alleged offense is listed as a gross misdemeanor.
The complaint states the charge carries a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail.
A conviction could also bring a fine of up to $3,000.
