GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – In a tense situation, gunfire erupted during a warrant service in Grand Forks Friday afternoon. TRF News brings you the latest developments from the scene.
Around 2:20 p.m., multiple rounds were fired near Daisy Circle and Primrose Court, close to Columbia Mall. While details remain scarce, Grand Forks Police swiftly responded to the incident.
Lieutenant Andrew Stein, spokesperson for the Grand Forks Police, confirmed that officers were serving a high-risk search warrant when they came under fire. In response, officers returned fire, but fortunately, no injuries were reported on either side.
The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was apprehended without further incident. However, due to the nature of the incident, the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) will lead the investigation.
