Red Lake (trfnews.i234.me) — A Red Lake woman is facing two gross misdemeanor charges after a Beltrami County traffic stop.
Edyn Ann Drouillard is charged in Beltrami County District Court.
The charges include fifth-degree drug possession and giving a false name to a peace officer.
The case was filed under court file number 04-CR-26-889.
The alleged incident happened on April 18, 2026, in Beltrami County.
Traffic Stop Started With Brake Light
According to the complaint, a deputy was parked on Irvine Avenue NW.
The deputy saw a dark Chrysler sedan driving south.
As the vehicle neared Lumberjack Road NW, the center brake light did not work.
The deputy stopped the vehicle to address the equipment issue.
The driver was identified as Cole Irvine Cobenais.
The complaint says Cobenais had glassy and red eyes.
Two people were also seated in the rear of the vehicle.
They were not wearing seat belts, according to the complaint.

False Name Alleged
One rear-seat passenger first gave a name that did not match state records.
The complaint says the deputy became concerned that a false name was being used.
That passenger was later identified as Edyn Ann Drouillard.
Authorities said Drouillard had multiple warrants for her arrest.
She was then placed under arrest, according to the complaint.
The second rear passenger was identified as Stanley Charles Donnell.
Meth Allegedly Found In Purse
After the arrest, authorities searched a purse Drouillard was carrying.
The complaint says a small baggie was found inside.
The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the complaint.
Prosecutors allege Drouillard possessed a mixture containing methamphetamine.
Methamphetamine is listed in the complaint as a Schedule II controlled substance.
The drug charge cites Minnesota Statute 152.025.
The false-name charge cites Minnesota Statute 609.506.
Charges Carry Possible Jail Time
Both charges are listed as gross misdemeanors in the complaint.
Each charge carries up to 364 days in jail.
Each charge also carries a possible $3,000 fine.
Beltrami County District Court is part of Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District.
