Karen Corbid, 85, of East Grand Forks, MN died Monday, May 6, 2024 at the Deephaven Woods Memory Care Center, Wayzata, MN.
Karen Corbid was born November 24, 1938 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Howard and Cleo (Nelson) Kelly. She grew up in East Grand Forks and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She married Benedict “Ben” Corbid on December 30, 1958 at Sacred Heart Church, East Grand Forks. She worked for many years for the Home of Economy in Grand Forks. She was an avid Volunteer for the Sacred Heart Catholic Community for many years.
She is survived by her children, Willian Corbid of Two Harbors, MN, Kelly (John) Roche of Minnetonka, MN, and Ben Jr. (Christi) Corbid of East Grand Forks, 6 grandchildren, Reed, Ross, Shane, Meghan, Katie and John and 2 great grandchildren, Logan and Quinn, 3 siblings, Colleen (Ken) Becker of St. Joseph, MN, Keith Kelly of East Grand Forks, John Kelly of Grand Forks, and 2 sister-in-laws, Pat Kelly of Minneapolis, MN, and Judy Kelly of Shakopee, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ben Corbid, grandson Nolan Corbid and 2 brothers, Tim and William Kelly.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ben & Karen Scholarship fund at Sacred Heart or charity of your choice.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11:30 AM, Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, MN.
VISITATION: One hour prior to the Mass at Church
INTERMENT: Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks, MN.
