St. Louis County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Hibbing woman was hurt in a crash on the Mitchell Bridge.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crash at about 9:36 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026.

The location was northbound U.S. Highway 169 near milepost 343 in Hibbing.

Troopers listed snow and ice on the road.

What happened

Troopers said a 2017 Ford F-150 was heading north over the Mitchell Bridge.

The truck crashed into a concrete wall.

Troopers said it hit the wall twice.

No other vehicles were listed in the report.

Driver identified

The driver was Janet Lee Strassburg, 56, of Hibbing.

Troopers listed her injuries as not life-threatening.

She was taken to Fairview Range Medical Center for care.

Airbags deployed, according to the report.

Troopers said Strassburg was not wearing a seat belt.

Alcohol was not suspected.
