Nathan James Brock, born October 13, 2005, of Detroit Lakes, is charged in Becker County District Court with violating Minnesota driving restrictions.
The charge alleges Brock operated a motor vehicle without a functioning ignition interlock device. The device was required under his restricted driver’s license.
Traffic Stop Leads To Charge
Court documents state the incident happened on May 29, 2026, in Becker County.
According to the criminal complaint, a vehicle was observed traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 59.
The vehicle appeared to be traveling faster than the posted 60 mph speed limit.
A traffic stop was conducted after radar showed the vehicle traveling 72 mph.
During the stop, the driver was identified as Nathan James Brock.
According to the complaint, Brock told authorities his driver’s license was revoked.
Brock also allegedly admitted he did not have the required ignition interlock device installed.
License Restriction Violation
Records checks reportedly confirmed Brock’s license status was revoked.
The records also showed he was required to have an ignition interlock device before driving.
Minnesota law allows ignition interlock requirements for some drivers with restricted licenses.
The program is designed to limit unsafe driving and help prevent repeat offenses.
