Bemidji Man Charged With Robbery After Alleged Attack
Bemidji, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — Dylan Troy Klosterman faces a felony simple robbery charge in Beltrami County District Court.
Prosecutors allege Klosterman attacked another man and took his phone during a September incident in Bemidji.
The case was filed in Minnesota’s 9th Judicial District under court file 04-CR-26-2253.
Injured Man Reports Assault
According to the complaint, a case worker brought the alleged victim to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
The case worker approached police while the alleged victim was receiving medical care.
The complaint says the man had extensive injuries to his face.
The alleged victim told investigators he had been drinking beer with Klosterman at his Bemidji home.
He said he later returned to his apartment and found Klosterman standing near the door.
Prosecutors allege Klosterman then lunged at the man and attacked him.
The alleged victim said Klosterman knocked him down and repeatedly struck his face with a knee.
He told investigators that he feared Klosterman was trying to kill him.
The complaint says Klosterman then allegedly dragged the man back into the apartment.
The alleged attack continued inside, according to the court filing.
Phone Allegedly Taken
The alleged victim told police that Klosterman took his phone from the apartment.
A neighbor had reported an assault at the same location the previous evening.
The neighbor reported seeing the injured man bleeding from his mouth.
The neighbor also described a man leaving the area while wearing a maroon shirt.
Investigators said Klosterman had been seen wearing a similar shirt earlier that day.
Prosecutors included those details as part of the probable cause supporting the charge.
Felony Robbery Charge Filed
Klosterman is charged with simple robbery under Minnesota Statute 609.24.
The law covers taking property while using or threatening force to overcome resistance.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
It also carries a possible $20,000 fine, or both penalties.
The complaint lists September 7, 2026, as the alleged offense date.
The case was filed with a summons in Beltrami County District Court.

Klosterman is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
