Complaint Details Arrest

According to the complaint, Rosebear first gave another person’s name and date of birth. Investigators later identified him as Nicholas Dean Rosebear.

The complaint states Rosebear admitted he gave the false name because he believed he had a warrant.

Police confirmed an active warrant tied to a prior Beltrami County case. The complaint says the warrant followed a missed sentencing date on May 12, 2026.

During a search after arrest, police reported finding a blue plastic case in Rosebear’s pocket. The complaint says Rosebear admitted the case contained controlled substances.

Investigators reported finding a small bag with a white crystalline substance. The complaint says the substance was suspected of being methamphetamine.

Police later reported finding a tinfoil bindle with a white powdery substance. That substance was submitted for further testing.

The suspected methamphetamine weighed about .72 grams, according to the complaint. Both substances were sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for testing.
