Amboy Township Crash Injures Rochester Pair

Amboy Township (trfnews.i234.me) — Two Rochester residents were injured Thursday in a crash on Highway 30.

The collision happened at about 10:07 a.m. on September 17, 2026.

The crash occurred near Highway 30 and 430th Avenue in Cottonwood County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions.

A 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on Highway 30.

A 2009 Toyota Camry was traveling east on the same highway.

The two vehicles collided near the intersection with 430th Avenue.

Two Rochester Residents Injured

Andrew Zwierzchowski, 79, of Rochester, was driving the Toyota Camry.

He suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Zwierzchowski was taken to Westbrook Hospital for medical treatment.

Margaret Ruszczyk, 75, of Rochester, was a passenger in the Toyota.

She also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Ruszczyk was taken to Westbrook Hospital for treatment.

The Toyota’s airbags deployed during the crash.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts, according to the State Patrol report.

Graycen Lee Hansen, 19, of Windom, was driving the Chevrolet Silverado.

Hansen was not injured in the collision.

Avrom Jacob Buller, 21, of Mountain Lake, was riding in the pickup.

Buller also was not injured.

Both men were wearing seat belts when the crash occurred.

The Silverado’s airbags did not deploy.

Alcohol was not suspected for anyone listed in the crash report.

The road was dry when the vehicles collided.

The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

Westbrook Fire and Jeffers Fire also responded to the crash.

The State Patrol listed the incident under case number 26301765.

Officials marked the report as complete at 1:50 p.m. Thursday.

The report does not explain what caused the vehicles to collide.

No additional injuries were listed in the State Patrol report.
