Lake Park Crash Leads to Third-Degree DWI Charges

Lake Park (trfnews.i234.me) — A West Fargo man faces two DWI charges after a multi-vehicle crash in Lake Park.

Tylor Timothy Sunde, 44, was charged in Becker County District Court. The complaint was filed under case number 03-CR-26-1172.

Sunde faces two counts of third-degree driving while impaired. Both charges are gross misdemeanors under Minnesota law.

Each count carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail. Each also carries a possible $3,000 fine.

Crash Reported Near Highway 10

The crash was reported around 12:32 p.m. on June 11, 2026. It happened near U.S. Highway 10 and Second Street.

A Minnesota State Patrol trooper spoke with Sunde at the scene. Sunde was driving a white Lexus, according to the complaint.

The trooper reported smelling alcohol while speaking with Sunde. The complaint says Sunde admitted to drinking Bud Light while golfing.

Sunde agreed to complete field sobriety tests. His performance led the trooper to suspect impairment.

The complaint does not describe any injuries from the crash. It also does not list damage to the vehicles.

Complaint Lists Two Alcohol Readings

A preliminary breath test showed a reading of .188, the complaint states. Investigators also reported finding a bottle of 99 Grapes.

The second charge alleges an alcohol concentration of .17. That reading was measured within two hours of driving.

The filing alleges one aggravating factor was present. Minnesota law addresses third-degree DWI under Section 169A.26.

The broader DWI law appears in Section 169A.20. The complaint also lists DWI convictions from June 2003 and June 2007.

Case Remains Pending

The charges are allegations and do not prove guilt. Sunde is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

No plea or final case outcome was included in the filing provided for this report.
