What Investigators Allege
The complaint says the investigation began after a report involving unauthorized card use in Fergus Falls. Court records say Olson Oil reported $1,508.76 in fuel charged to Cooper’s Office Supply through its gas account.
The filing says the total suspected fraudulent fuel charges later reached about $4,159.30. Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from fuel purchases, according to the complaint.
The complaint says the footage showed vehicles linked to Emily Newman, Jennifer Anderson, and Cyndie Fernandez. It also referred to Jorden Jongbloed-Wetzstein and David Cantrell.
According to the complaint, Emily Newman said Jorden Jongbloed-Wetzstein had been using her car during the time in question. The filing also says Cyndie Fernandez told investigators she paid cash and then received fuel placed into her tank with a card.
David Cantrell told investigators he knew Jorden Jongbloed-Wetzstein through his ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Marie Vold, according to the complaint. The filing says Cantrell claimed he and Vold used cards to fill barrels with fuel and take them to Colorado.
Defendant’s Statement
The complaint says Jennifer Marie Vold first denied knowing about the gas cards. It says she later admitted she knew where the cards were kept. The filing also says she told others where the cards were located behind the counter and how they worked.
Court records further state that surveillance videos showed Jorden Jongbloed-Wetzstein fueling vehicles on 12 occasions. The complaint says those purchases totaled $532.08.
Case Status
The charges are allegations, and Jennifer Marie Vold is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The case is filed in Otter Tail County under file number 56-CR-26-614.
