Crookston (trfnews.i234.me) — Jesse James Donarski, 33, of Climax, has been charged in Polk County District Court after a March 17 traffic stop in Crookston.

Charges Filed

According to the complaint, Donarski faces a felony count of third-degree drug possession in a prohibited zone. He also faces a gross misdemeanor count of refusing a chemical test under a search warrant.

Authorities allege the stop happened near Washington Elementary School. Court records say suspected methamphetamine was found during the arrest. The complaint says the substance weighed about 12.3 grams with packaging.

What Investigators Allege

The complaint says Donarski was stopped after traffic violations. Court records say he resisted during the encounter. He was later taken to the Northwest Regional Corrections Center. Investigators say he later refused to give a blood or urine sample after a warrant was issued.

Case Status

The complaint also lists prior convictions and says prosecutors may seek an aggravated sentence. Charges are allegations. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. See Minnesota Statute 152.023 and Minnesota Statute 169A.20.
