GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Last Friday, Kaedyn Bergeron, an 11-year-old from Grand Forks, had a terrifying encounter when he was chased by a stranger wearing a bunny mask while walking home from Kelly Park near Schroeder Middle School. The incident has sparked concerns among residents and raised awareness about the importance of safety precautions.

Kaedyn’s mother, Ali Bergeron, expressed her shock, saying, “It’s just a place where parents feel comfortable sending their kids, until something like this happens.” She emphasized the need for vigilance even in familiar surroundings.

Recalling the incident, Kaedyn shared, “You could say I went coast to coast,” describing his efforts to escape the pursuer. Fortunately, he found refuge at a friend’s house nearby.

After the police intervened, it was revealed that the masked individual was part of a group of juveniles. While no charges are being pressed currently, the teens have been cautioned about their behavior.

Ali Bergeron urges parents to have open conversations with their children about safety, emphasizing the importance of being aware of their surroundings, especially when alone. She commended Kaedyn for his quick thinking in a frightening situation.
