North Dakota Man Charged in Grain Elevator Burglaries Spree

BARNESVILLE, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Wyatt Jacob Johnson, a 33-year-old resident of Hankinson, North Dakota, is under scrutiny after being charged with a series of grain elevator burglaries. The latest incident involved the burglary of a grain elevator in Barnesville, Minnesota, where Johnson is facing a felony charge of burglary.

According to court documents, law enforcement responded to a grain elevator in Barnesville on February 23rd, where they found a door forced open and $200 missing. This incident was part of a string of grain elevator thefts reported in surrounding counties. Johnson became a suspect, believed to be driving a Dodge Avenger.

Two weeks later, Johnson was apprehended in Ottertail County while attempting to burglarize another grain elevator. He was driving a Dodge Avenger at the time of his arrest and confessed to his involvement in the Barnesville burglary, as well as other similar crimes in the area.
