Winter Storm Warning Issued for Our Region

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for a significant portion of our region, with potential impacts expected to persist through Tuesday.

As of 6:15 a.m., radar imagery shows the steadiest band of snow extending from Finley, North Dakota, to Park Rapids, Minnesota. While areas along and north of Highway 2 have yet to experience snowfall, snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches is possible in the mentioned regions by 8 a.m.

The impending storm is forecasted to bring heavy snow and gusty winds, leading to significant winter impacts. Southeastern North Dakota and West Central Minnesota are expected to bear the brunt of the storm’s effects. Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect for most of our area.

Residents are urged to stay updated on weather developments and exercise caution when traveling, as heavy snowfall and wind gusts can create hazardous conditions on roads and reduce visibility.

Stay tuned for further updates as the situation unfolds.
