POLK COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Neil Berg here with some breaking news out of Polk County, Minnesota, this Sunday afternoon. We’re facing a major wildfire outbreak, with multiple blazes raging across the region.
- Location: The primary fire is located east of UID, approximately 12 miles north of Crookston and 3 to 4 miles east. Additionally, reports indicate fires around Gently, 5 miles east of Crookston, and in the Erskine Maple Lake Area, approximately 25 miles east of Crookston.
- Response: Multiple agencies have been mobilized to battle the wildfires. Fire crews from Crookston, Warren, Red Lake Falls, and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) are on the scene.
- Extent: The wildfires have primarily affected wildlife land, with reports of a quantity of land fully engulfed in flames.
