Mahnomen County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Naytahwaush man is facing a gross misdemeanor charge in Mahnomen County District Court.

Glenn Edward Bunker, 30, is charged with furnishing alcohol to a person under 21.

The case was filed in Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District.

The court file number is 44-CR-26-158.

The charge stems from an underage alcohol compliance check on October 28, 2025.

The check happened at Sundown Saloon in Waubun, according to the complaint.

Underage Decoys Entered Saloon

According to the complaint, law enforcement helped conduct checks at liquor businesses.

The checks took place on the White Earth Reservation.

At about 5:46 p.m., underage decoys entered Sundown Saloon.

The business is listed in court records at 1004 Pleasant Avenue in Waubun.

A short time later, the decoys left the business with alcohol.

The complaint says they had a six-pack of Angry Orchard bottles.

The decoys told investigators a bartender sold them the alcohol.

They reported the bartender did not ask for identification.

The decoys then paid for the alcohol and left the bar, according to court records.

Bartender Later Identified

On December 4, 2025, law enforcement returned to Sundown Saloon.

According to the complaint, a bartender was shown a photo of the worker.

The bartender identified the worker as Glenn Edward Bunker.

The complaint says Bunker later confirmed he worked at Sundown Saloon.

Bunker is charged under Minnesota Statute 340A.503.

That law covers alcohol sales and furnishing alcohol to people under 21.

The charge also references Minnesota Statute 340A.702.

The maximum sentence is 364 days in jail.

It may also include a $3,000 fine, or both.

Case Remains Pending

The complaint lists Bunker as living in Naytahwaush.

He was charged by summons, according to the court filing.

Public court records can be searched through Minnesota Court Records Online.

Alcohol rules for businesses are also listed by the Minnesota Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division.

A criminal complaint is not a conviction.

Bunker is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
