Warroad Woman Charged With DWI After .18 BAC Test

Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Warroad woman is facing DWI charges after a traffic stop on Highway 11 led to an alleged high blood alcohol test result.

Mya Lee Hendrickson, 23, of Warroad, is charged with two gross misdemeanor DWI counts in Roseau County District Court.

Court documents state the charges are connected to a July 3, 2026, traffic stop. The case was filed in the Ninth Judicial District.

Traffic Complaint Leads to a Stop

According to the criminal complaint, authorities received reports of a vehicle driving erratically on Highway 11.

The reports stated the vehicle was crossing lanes and nearly causing head-on crashes.

A white GMC Terrain matching the description was later located. The complaint states the vehicle crossed both the fog line and center line.

A traffic stop was then conducted in Roseau County.

Driver Identified As Mya Lee Hendrickson

The complaint states Hendrickson was the only person inside the vehicle.

During the contact, Hendrickson reportedly said she knew why she had been stopped.

She told authorities she had been heading to pick up her sister after work.

The complaint states that Hendrickson first reported drinking two alcoholic beverages.

Authorities reported smelling alcohol and observing signs that included bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

Field Tests And Breath Test Results

The complaint states Hendrickson was asked to complete standardized field sobriety testing.

Authorities reported multiple clues during balance and coordination tests.

The complaint states that a preliminary breath test showed a result of .18.

Hendrickson was later transported to the Roseau County Jail.

According to court documents, two additional breath samples were accepted. The final reported result was .18.

DWI Charges Filed

Hendrickson faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

She is also charged with driving with an alcohol concentration of .08 or more within two hours.

The complaint lists an aggravating factor because the reported alcohol concentration was .16 or higher.

A charge is a formal accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
