Walker Man Charged With Home Burglary After Fight
Walker, Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Walker man is facing a felony burglary charge after authorities say he entered a Cass County home without permission while residents were inside.
Theodore James Morrison, 39, of Walker, Minnesota, is charged with first-degree burglary of an occupied dwelling. The charge was filed in Cass County District Court.
The complaint states the incident happened on July 5, 2026, at a residence on Shing Wauk Drive Northwest in Walker.
Residents Report Unknown Man Inside Home
According to court documents, deputies responded around 5:07 p.m. after a report of an unknown man inside a home.
The complaint says two residents, identified by initials in court records, were inside the home when they discovered Morrison standing inside.
The residents told authorities they did not know Morrison and had not given him permission to enter the home.
Court documents state the door was not locked at the time of the incident.

Complaint Says Fight Challenge Continued Outside
The complaint alleges Morrison was told several times to leave but refused.
Investigators say Morrison repeatedly challenged one of the residents to fight.
The documents state Morrison eventually left the home but later returned to the yard.
According to the complaint, Morrison was carrying a shovel and continued trying to start a confrontation.
Deputies later located Morrison outside the residence and arrested him.
The complaint states Morrison appeared to be highly intoxicated at the time of the arrest.
Felony Charge Filed in Cass County
Morrison is charged under Minnesota Statute 609.582.1(a), which covers first-degree burglary involving an occupied dwelling where a non-accomplice is present.
The charge carries a possible maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $35,000, or both.
A criminal charge is only an accusation. Morrison is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
