we have an update now regarding an early Tuesday morning fire in the laundry room of the Grand Forks County Jail this was video from a uh laundry room fire on Thanksgiving this from director Brett Burkholder quote One inmate house next to the laundry room was transported to alru to be looked at due to his complaints and to ensure his safety the individual was quickly cleared and returned to the gr Forks County correctional center there were no serious injuries as the fire was contained to a single Drive that appears to have had a small amount of clothes remaining in it and spontaneously combusted hours after it was shut off the inmates four of them that were housed in close proximity to the dryer were moved out of their area within 11 seconds of the alarm at this time we are moving with plans and process uh for a cleanup and resumption of operations I’m Neil Berg reporting for I trfnews.i234.me
