GRAND FORKS, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – On December 29, at approximately 1:08 p.m., the East Grand Forks Fire Department (EGFFD) responded to a trailer home fire. Upon arrival, crews observed light smoke emanating from the residence. The fire’s origin was traced to an unattended space heater. All occupants had evacuated safely, and operational smoke alarms were present. Firefighters entered the home and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.
Safety Advisory:
The EGFFD reminds residents that space heaters are a common cause of house fires. To ensure safety, never leave space heaters unattended and maintain a minimum distance of three feet from combustible materials.
