Brooklyn Park, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me)—On Saturday, March 29, a tragic aviation accident occurred in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, involving a small aircraft crashing into a residential home. The pilot, believed to be Terry Dolan, U.S. Bank’s Vice Chair and Chief Administration Officer, was the sole occupant and is presumed dead.

Incident Details:

  • Aircraft Information: The plane, a SOCATA TBM-700, departed from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa and was en route to Anoka County–Blaine Airport in Minnesota.

  • Crash Site: At approximately 12:20 p.m., the aircraft crashed into a home near the intersection of 109th Avenue North and Noble Parkway in Brooklyn Park, igniting a fire that engulfed the residence.

  • Occupants: The sole occupant of the plane was the pilot. The homeowner was inside at the time but managed to escape unharmed. His wife was out walking the dog during the incident.

Investigation:

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating the cause of the crash. Preliminary reports indicate that the aircraft was registered to Terry Dolan, and U.S. Bank officials have expressed their belief that Dolan was on board.

Terry Dolan, 63, served as U.S. Bank’s Chief Administration Officer since 2023, overseeing corporate strategy, marketing, analytics, and other key operations. He had been with the company since 1998, previously holding positions including Chief Financial Officer and Vice Chair of Wealth Management and Investment Services.

Dolan was also active in various charitable organizations, serving on the boards of the Minnesota Opera, Artspace, and The Minneapolis Foundation.

Community Impact:

The crash resulted in the destruction of the home and caused minor damage to nearby properties. Debris was scattered across the neighborhood, and residents reported feeling their houses shake due to the impact. Power outages were also reported in the vicinity.
