According to court documents, the incident occurred in an apartment above a downtown Devils Lake bar, where the two individuals allegedly assaulted a man and took $264 from his pockets. The victim sustained severe injuries, necessitating air transport to a Minneapolis hospital. An officer reported that the victim might lose an eye due to damage to the surrounding bone. Both Dauphinais and Whitetail are now facing felony charges of aggravated assault and robbery with an accomplice.
