NARRATIVE: The Ford Focus was stopped at a red light, facing westbound at the intersection. The Ram 3500 pickup truck struck the Focus from behind while traveling westbound. The driver of the Focus was transported by ambulance to Altru Hospital, and the juvenile passenger was airlifted to Fargo for treatment, where tragically, they succumbed to their injuries on June 5. The driver of the pickup truck was arrested for criminal vehicular injury, with upgraded charges pending. The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
