Tragic Collision Claims Life of Six-Year-Old Girl in Grand Forks

Grand Forks, ND ( – A heartbreaking incident unfolded Monday night at the junction of U.S. Highway 2 and Airport Road, just outside Grand Forks, as a six-year-old girl succumbed to injuries sustained in a vehicular collision. Travis Bell of Fordville, North Dakota, faces charges of criminal vehicular injury, with further legal actions pending. The tragedy occurred when Bell’s Ram truck collided with a stationary Ford Focus, occupied by the girl and another individual, waiting at a red light. Allegedly failing to decelerate, Bell’s reported blood alcohol level exceeding 0.12 adds a grim dimension to the accident. Meanwhile, Nicole Louthain of Grand Forks Air Force Base is undergoing treatment for severe injuries at Altru Hospital.
