UPDATE: At around 1:00 pm on April 7, 2024, tragedy struck as a southbound Canadian Pacific Train collided with a pedestrian identified as Dale Graff near mile marker 67 on Highway 52, Carpio. The train operator noticed a tractor near the tracks and sounded the horn, later spotting Graff standing by the side of the tracks. Despite continued warning signals, the collision resulted in Graff sustaining fatal injuries. Investigations into the incident are ongoing under the purview of the NDHP.
