GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A routine traffic stop on I-29 led to a significant drug bust, landing a Fargo man in Grand Forks County custody.
On Monday, August 12, a sheriff’s deputy pulled over a black Cadillac for failing to signal a lane change and noticed it lacked proper registration.
The driver, 55-year-old Todd Frederick Myrvik, was removed from the vehicle, and a K9 unit was called in.
The K9 alerted to the presence of drugs, leading to a search that uncovered nearly half a pound of methamphetamine, 226 fentanyl pills, and drug paraphernalia in a backpack.
Myrvik now faces a Class A felony charge for meth possession with intent to distribute, carrying a potential 20-year sentence, and a Class B felony charge for fentanyl possession.
His bond is set at $150,000, with a court appearance scheduled for September 23.
