Thief River Falls Court Roundup: DWI, Assault Cases
THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. — (trfnews.i234.me) — The latest Pennington County bulletin lists recent misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor court outcomes.

Thief River Falls Police Cases
Juan Jose Paredes, 45, received a $260 fine for possessing a shoplifting tool.
A 364-day jail term was stayed for two years. He received credit for time served.
Paredes will serve two years of court probation. He may not enter Walmart.
The state has 30 days to file a restitution certificate. Paredes then has 30 days to object.
A theft charge was dismissed.
Jacob Ryan Lasin Brummitt, 23, was sentenced on two domestic assault counts.
He received fines of $210 and $50. Each count carried a stayed 90-day jail sentence.
The sentences will run concurrently. Brummitt received credit for four days already served.
He will complete one year of supervised probation. He must also complete domestic abuse treatment.
Brummitt must receive an assessment within 60 days. He must follow all treatment and aftercare recommendations.
He may not possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives.
Another domestic assault charge was dismissed. A no-contact-order violation was also dismissed.
Isaac Perez, 29, received a $585 fine for fourth-degree driving while impaired.
A 90-day jail sentence was stayed for one year. Perez received credit for time served.
He must complete one year of probation, an assessment, and recommended treatment.
Other DWI, insurance, and driving-after-revocation charges were dismissed.
Justin Lee Shepard, 37, had a theft charge dismissed.
Michael David Jorstad, 40, received fines totaling $415 for two vehicle registration offenses.
Justin Alan Jourdain, 21, had an order-for-protection violation charge dismissed.
Katrina Deieedre Carter, 36, received a $135 handheld-device fine.
Pennington County Sheriff’s Office Cases
Jose Orlando Gonzalez, 32, received a $285 fine for driving after suspension.
Quade Maguire Axford, 29, received a $585 fine for fourth-degree DWI.
His 90-day jail sentence was stayed for one year. He will serve one year of probation.
Axford must complete an assessment and recommended treatment. A pistol-related alcohol charge was dismissed.

Minnesota State Patrol Cases
Robert Michael Madden, 43, received three fines totaling $625.
The cases involved speeding, driving after revocation and failing to provide insurance proof.
Brockston Nicholas Masseth, Keith Warren Solberg, Jay Patrick Opdahl and Jitae Kim received $110 seat belt fines.
Vincent Ralph Melina received a $185 fine for having no driver’s license.
Shivawn Lashay Williams received a $135 child passenger restraint fine.
Juan Jose Paredes received stays of adjudication on license and insurance charges.
He received $175 in fines and two years of unsupervised monitoring.
Paredes must provide proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license.
David John Mindermann received a $115 fine for expired registration.
Dismissed charges are not convictions. Stayed sentences may be imposed when court conditions are violated.
