EAST GRAND FORKS, MN – A semi-truck rollover was reported early Saturday morning on Highway 2, just east of East Grand Forks. The accident occurred at approximately 6:45 AM on March 15, 2025.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the driver of the semi, identified as Braden Daniel Connor, 20, of Litchfield, MN, was traveling eastbound on Highway 2 when strong crosswinds caused his Peterbilt semi-truck to overturn onto its passenger side.

Emergency crews, including the East Grand Forks Fire Department, responded swiftly to the crash. Connor sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene. No alcohol or drugs were involved, according to investigators [1].

Authorities warn drivers, especially truck operators, to exercise caution when traveling during high wind conditions, as large vehicles are highly susceptible to tipping.
