Traffic stop ends in a crash
Court documents say the stop happened on January 21. Officers tried to pull the Jeep over for speeding.
Documents say the driver crashed into a snowbank in Roseau. The driver was arrested at the scene.
Vehicle confirmed stolen from Crookston
Investigators then checked the Jeep’s status. The Jeep was confirmed stolen from OK Tire in Crookston.
OK Tire’s Crookston location is on East Robert Street. The business is listed at 1301 E Robert St, Crookston.
Authorities say the vehicle was taken without consent. The Jeep was later recovered in Roseau.
Felony charges filed
Girty is charged with felony theft and felony receiving stolen property. These charges are allegations.
