Red Lake Falls Man Pleads Not Guilty to Felony Charges for Spiking Drink with Drugs

RED LAKE COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Lane Allen Anderson, 27, waived his Wednesday, May 22, omnibus hearing and pleaded not guilty to two felony charges. Anderson is charged with adulteration causing illness, pain, or other bodily harm and third-degree sale of a narcotic, the latter carrying a maximum 20-year sentence.

According to a probable cause statement, Anderson is accused of spiking his girlfriend’s brother’s alcoholic drink with methamphetamine and MDMA. The alleged victim, described as autistic and a vulnerable adult, reported becoming ill and fearing for his life after consuming the drink.

Anderson’s next court hearing, a pre-trial, is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Aug. 14.
