Pelican Rapids (trfnews.i234.me) — Two women were injured Friday after two jet-skis collided on Pelican Lake.

The crash happened north of Pelican Rapids during the afternoon of July 3.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received the report at about 4:32 p.m.

Two Riders Taken to Detroit Lakes

A 19-year-old Minneapolis woman reported a possible back injury after the collision.

A 20-year-old woman from Mound reported injuries to her head and face.

Emergency crews treated both women before taking them to a Detroit Lakes hospital.

They were transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes.

Authorities said both women suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Their names were not released in the initial report.

No Alcohol or Drug Use Suspected

Investigators found no reason to suspect alcohol or drug use by either driver.

No arrests or citations were announced in the initial report.

Officials did not release details about what caused the jet-skis to collide.
