Victim Reported River Attack
According to court records, the victim said she was on the river when three women attacked her. She said the women were unknown to her.
The victim later sought medical care. She had bruises on her head and neck. Doctors also diagnosed her with a concussion.
After the attack, the victim learned the names of those involved. She later identified Odgers from a photo.

Investigators also spoke with witnesses. Their statements described a chaotic scene on the water.

A third witness said he recognized the victim after she came back up from the water.
Prosecutors Seek Harsher Penalty
On Jan. 13, 2026, Otter Tail County Attorney Michelle Eldien filed a motion seeking an aggravated sentence.
