Tanya (Hagen) Sorenson, 45, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral service for Tanya will be held 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Kristin Ostercamp officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 27, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Obit in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Tanya May Hagen was born on May 24, 1978 in Bagley, MN daughter of Marlin and Laurie (LaRue) Hanson. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith. She attended school at Readiness Program in Bagley in 1984, the Shevlin elementary 1st through 5th grade, Bagley for 6th through 10th grade.
On August 29, 2015 she was united in marriage to John Sorenson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Tanya worked in housekeeping at Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Tanya enjoyed the beauty of waterfalls, spending time at the lake, fishing, camping, shopping, spending time with family, friends, and dogs. She also enjoyed going to races, demo derby’s, hunting, and hiking. Tanya loved children but especially loved her grandchildren.
Tanya is survived by her husband John Sorenson of Thief River Falls, MN; children Asia (Dalton) Hamlin of LaMoure, ND, Brenden Davis of Thief River Falls, MN and Haley Davis of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren Hudson Hamlin and Eliana Hamlin; parents Marlin and Laurie Hanson of Shevlin, MN; siblings Tammy Natress, Marie Hagen, and Michelle Hagen; grandmother Lavonne McPhee of Shevlin, MN; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tanya is preceded in death by her grand-parents Tony McPhee, Eunice and Harold LaRue, uncle Richard LaRue and Gail Smith.
