Joshua Ramsey, 40, of Thief River Falls, MN formerly of Fargo, ND passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
A gathering time to celebrate Josh’s life will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Obit in Thief River Falls, MN.
Joshua Sverre Ramsey was born May 28, 1983 in Minot, ND the son of Brian Sverre and Shelly Ann (Smith) Ramsey. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith at his grandparent’s home in Minot, ND.
He attended school in various locations including Walhalla, ND, West Fargo, ND and graduated from Beach, ND High School. Josh attended college at NDSU in Fargo where he studied Sports Medicine.
After college, Josh lived in Fargo where he worked at Case and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. After moving to Minot, Josh continued working at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. In 2013, Josh accepted a position at Digi-Key in Thief River Falls where he worked as Assigned Accounts Flex Representative. Josh loved his Digi-Key team.
While working at Digi-Key, Josh met the love of his life, Christina Myers. As their relationship blossomed, the dynamic duo became inseparable, and they were planning to get married.
In 2023, Josh was diagnosed with cancer which he battled with the help of his family, friends and co-workers.
Josh loved his Honda v-twin motorcycle and anything to do with the roar of a car engine. He was a huge NDSU Bison and Denver Broncos fan. He enjoyed helping people, video games, working on his vehicles, being outside, and time with his dog, Shelby. Josh’s best friend was his brother, Levi, together they had a very special bond. Josh especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Josh was the most kind, compassionate, straight forward, unconditionally loving man you would ever meet.
Survivors include his mother, Shelly (Al) Smith-Buee of Burlington, ND; brothers, Tim (Mandy) Smith of Burlington, ND and Levi Ramsey of Red Lake Falls, MN; nephews, Kenny, John and Jack Smith; love of his life, Christina Myers of Thief River Falls, MN; aunts, Gayla (Tim) Zietz of Des Lacs, ND, Kim (Mike) trfnews.i234.me of Walhalla, ND; step-mother, Beverly Ramsey of Minot, ND; cousins, Melissa (Breden Howe) Zietz, Jared (Jill) trfnews.i234.me and Jeremy (Shawna Sundby) trfnews.i234.me; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins on the Ramsey side.
He is preceded in death by his father, Brian Ramsey; grandparents, Duane & Geraldine “Geri” Smith and Gordon & Doris Ramsey; cousin, Jesse Zietz.
