Obituary | David A. Huber of Thief River Falls, Minnesota

David A. Huber Jr., 60, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at his residence.

A Celebration of Life for close friends and family to be held at a later date.

David Allen Huber Jr. was born in Sacramento, CA, on November 15, 1963, the son of David Allen Huber Sr. and Judith Marion Sylvester.  He lived in multiple locations as a child until his family settled on the family farm near Thief River Falls in 1976 and attended Lincoln High School.

David attended the AVTI in Thief River Falls for a degree as an Automotive Technician and later graduated from Bemidji Tech as an Automotive Machinist.  He worked as a machinist at Arctic Cat before accepting a position in Jamestown, ND, as a CNC machinist at an aeronautical manufacturing facility; Lucas Cargo Systems.

One of his interests drew David away from his career in Jamestown to work as a machinist for a Grand Forks firearm manufacturer – Roam Firearms.  He was always interested in repairing/modifying/making anything better and the newest gadgetry and interests.  David enjoyed cattle, farming, restoring machinery, hunting, and cooking. 

David is survived by his brothers, Dan Kieffer and John (Sabrina) Kieffer, all of Thief River Falls, MN; nieces and nephews, Briana Vosen, Dakota Hanson, Gage Kieffer, Joshua Kieffer, Amelie Heaton and Samantha Kieffer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his dog, Chappie.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; many loved aunts, uncles, and other family members.
