North Township Crash Kills Newfolden Woman

North Township (trfnews.i234.me) — A 68-year-old Newfolden woman died Sunday after two vehicles collided on Highway 32 in Pennington County.

Crash Happened Sunday Evening

The crash happened at about 5:55 p.m. on September 20, 2026. It occurred south of 183rd Street Northeast in North Township.

The Minnesota State Patrol identified the woman as Sharlott Dawn Olberg. She was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban south on Highway 32.

Nicole Elizabeth Johnson, 31, of Red Lake Falls, drove a 2022 Buick Envision north on the highway. The two vehicles collided near 183rd Street Northeast.

One Driver Killed, Another Injured

Olberg suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, according to the crash report. No health care facility was listed for her.

Johnson suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening. She was taken to Sanford Health in Fargo for treatment.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts when the crash occurred. The report said alcohol was not suspected for either driver.

Road Was Dry During Collision

The roadway was dry at the time of the collision. The State Patrol listed airbag deployment as unknown for both vehicles.
