NORTH MANKATO, Nicollet County (trfnews.i234.me) — On the morning of March 27, 2025, a 2011 Hino box truck rolled over while attempting to transition from westbound Hwy 14 to southbound Hwy 169.
The driver, Dustin Robert Hekel (44) of Rochester, MN, lost control on the dry ramp surface, causing the truck to roll over. Thankfully, Hekel was wearing his seat belt and suffered only non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to MCHS Mankato for evaluation.
Emergency responders included North Mankato PD, Nicollet County authorities, Mankato Police and Fire, and Mayo Ambulance. No alcohol was involved, and no airbag deployment was recorded.
