ST. CLOUD, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Fardoussa Omar Abdillahi, 29, has been handed a sentence of over 21 years for the heart-wrenching murder of her own 3-month-old baby. The sentencing comes after Abdillahi pleaded guilty to second-degree intentional murder, shedding light on a dark and distressing episode.
In a harrowing account revealed by court documents, Abdillahi confessed to her mother, in the early hours of November 28, 2021, about the unspeakable act she committed. Following this confession, St. Cloud police swiftly responded to the scene at an apartment complex on the 2000 block of Maine Prairie Road.
Upon their arrival, officers were confronted with a grim reality as a man informed them of Abdillahi’s admission of guilt and the disposal of the infant’s body in a dumpster. Subsequent searches led to the discovery of the baby’s lifeless body wrapped in a garbage bag. Shockingly, knives and bedding were also recovered from the dumpster, adding layers of horror to the already disturbing situation.
Abdillahi’s admission of stabbing her own child paints a tragic picture of her mental and physical struggles following the birth of the baby. Despite the anguish caused by her actions, justice was served as she was sentenced to 261 months, with credit for approximately two years served, at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee.
