Wright County (trfnews.i234.me) A Big Lake man was hurt in a single-vehicle crash in Monticello.
The crash happened on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026. Troopers logged the call at about 2:02 a.m.
What happened
The Minnesota State Patrol said a Nissan Altima was traveling west on Interstate 94. The crash occurred near mile marker 194 in Monticello.
Troopers said the car struck a shoulder sign barrier. The road was dry at the time.

Driver condition
The driver was identified as Daniel Peredogarcia, 21, of Big Lake. Troopers listed his injuries as not life-threatening.
He was taken to CentraCare – Monticello Hospital for treatment.
Troopers reported the airbags deployed. Troopers also reported Peredogarcia was not wearing a seat belt.
Alcohol was not suspected. No other vehicles were listed in the crash.
