GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Traffic was significantly backed up on Interstate-29 south of Grand Forks around noon on Monday. According to the Highway Patrol, the situation involved a man who was detained but faced no charges.
Reports to TRF-News indicated that the backup occurred in the northbound lane. A Highway Patrolman confirmed that the individual was stopped for erratic driving. Upon exiting his vehicle, the man was held at gunpoint and detained. However, no charges were filed, and no arrest was made as the incident was determined to be a medical or mental health issue. This resolution led to the easing of the traffic backup on I-29.
