GRAND FORKS-EAST GRAND FORKS (trfnews.i234.me) – In a dramatic turn of events, a man found himself in a perilous situation on Tuesday night after climbing onto the Sorlie Bridge in downtown Grand Forks. Police now report that he fell from the bridge onto the ice below, sparking a swift rescue operation.

  1. Welfare Check: Officers responded to a call for a welfare check on a male subject who had climbed over the bridge railing and was spotted underneath on support beams.
  2. Rescue Efforts: Despite efforts to communicate and coax the individual down, he remained uncooperative and ultimately fell from the support beam, landing on the ice.
  3. Medical Response: Both Grand Forks and East Grand Forks fire departments rushed to the scene to provide immediate medical care. The man, whose condition remains unknown, was promptly transported to Altru Hospital by ambulance.
