Becker County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Mahnomen woman is facing a gross misdemeanor charge in Becker County District Court.

Hannah Lynn Sargent, of Mahnomen, is charged with criminal vehicular operation causing bodily harm while under the influence of alcohol.

The charge was filed in Becker County District Court under court file number 03-CR-26-940.

The case stems from an alleged incident on May 7, 2026, near County Road 158 and Wilkinson Lane.

Court Complaint Details

According to the complaint, dispatch received a 911 call from a woman who said she had been run over.

The caller reported that a maroon SUV was involved in the incident.

The vehicle was also reported to have a flat front passenger tire.

Authorities said the vehicle had left the area northbound on County Road 158.

When law enforcement arrived, a maroon vehicle was found parked and running in the roadway.

The complaint says the injured woman was lying on her stomach in the road.

Sargent and a man identified as P.L.F. were also at the scene.

The victim reported pain in her tailbone and leg.

She told authorities that her leg and tailbone had been run over.

Alleged Alcohol Use

The complaint states that Sargent showed signs of possible alcohol impairment.

Authorities reported an odor of alcohol, watery eyes, and balance issues.

Sargent allegedly admitted to having three or four drinks.

She denied driving and said she did not know who was driving.

The complaint says field sobriety tests were later conducted.

Authorities reported multiple clues of impairment during those tests.

Sargent also agreed to a preliminary breath test.

The complaint states that the test showed a result of .155.

Charge Filed In Becker County

Sargent was arrested for criminal vehicular operation.

A search warrant was obtained for a blood or urine sample.

The complaint says Sargent agreed to provide a blood sample at a Detroit Lakes hospital.

She was later medically cleared and taken to the Becker County Jail.

The charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 609.2113.

The maximum penalty listed in the complaint is 364 days in jail, a $3,000 fine, or both.
