MAHNOMEN, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — Bruce John Auginaush, 61, of Mahnomen, is facing a felony charge in Mahnomen County District Court.
The charge involves Minnesota’s predatory offender registration law.
According to a criminal complaint, Auginaush is accused of failing to meet registration requirements.
The alleged offense happened on or about March 22, 2026.
Felony Charge Filed In Mahnomen County
The complaint says Auginaush is required to register for life.
That requirement followed prior court convictions listed in the complaint.
Prosecutors allege Auginaush did not properly update the required information.
The felony charge carries a possible prison sentence.
The maximum sentence is five years.
It also carries a possible $10,000 fine.

Complaint Details Address Issue
The complaint says Auginaush completed a change form in November 2025.
That form listed a State Highway 200 address in Mahnomen.
The complaint says no secondary address was listed.
Authorities later received information about a camper at another property.
That property was listed on 320th Avenue in Mahnomen.
On March 22, deputies contacted Auginaush in a motor home at that location.
The complaint says Auginaush first denied living at the property.
He then allegedly said he had not lived at the listed address during the winter.
He could not provide the date he moved, according to the complaint.
Motor Home Also Noted
The complaint says the motor home had Minnesota plates.
A registered owner later said the motor home had been sold to Auginaush.
The owner said that the sale happened about two years earlier.

Auginaush has been charged with a complaint.
A charge is only an accusation.
He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
