Leonard: Hartman Faced Felony Pickup Theft Charge
CLEARWATER COUNTY, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — Guenter Allen Hartman was charged with felony motor vehicle theft in a 2017 Clearwater County case.
Hartman was 38 when the complaint was filed.
His listed address at the time was in Leonard.
The case was filed as 15-CR-17-143 in Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District.

Pickup Reported Taken Without Permission

She told investigators that Hartman had taken the pickup without her permission.

He reportedly told her where the truck had last been parked.

Truck Later Recovered in Cass Lake
Clearwater County investigators contacted tribal police while trying to locate the vehicle.
The truck was not immediately found, according to the complaint.
Investigators learned on April 18 that the pickup had been recovered in Cass Lake.
The complaint says two tires were missing when the truck was found.
Two other tires were reportedly flat.
The court document does not provide an estimated repair cost.
Felony Vehicle Theft Charge
Prosecutors charged Hartman under Minnesota Statute 609.52.
The complaint alleged he took or used another person’s vehicle without consent.
It also alleged an intent to permanently deprive the owner of the vehicle.
The complaint classified the offense as a felony.
It listed a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
A fine of up to $10,000 was also listed.
