Jerry Metzger, 80, formerly of Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Jerry was a retired M athematics Professor at the University of North Dakota, with a career spanning 49 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, solving problems such as the daily W ordle challenge, completing T he NY Times crossword puzzle , UND hockey, and tennis drills at Choice. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Diane Metzger, formerly of Grand Forks; son Todd (Laurie) Metzger, daughter Dana Metzger, son Hamlin (Lisa) Metzger; and three grandchildren, Tiffany Metzger, Brianna Metzger, and Travis Metzger. Per Jerry’s wishes, no services will be held.
