GRAND FORKS, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – Authorities have released more information after a body was discovered Monday in the Red River at Grand Forks.
According to a Sergeant of the Grand Forks Police Department, officers were dispatched at 12:28 p.m. to the Riverside Dam boat ramp after a passerby reported a body in the water. The deceased female was found about 200 yards north of the ramp along the west river bank.
Responding officers confirmed the woman was deceased. Her identity has not yet been determined.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Grand Forks Fire Department, Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office, the regional UAS team, Grand Forks Water Rescue, and Ultra Ambulance.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Grand Forks Police Department.
