Grand Forks Police Identify Victim in Fatal Stabbing Incident

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Tragic news has emerged from the south end of Grand Forks, as authorities have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing that occurred early Thursday morning.

According to Lieutenant Jeremy Mole of the Grand Forks Police Department, the deceased male victim has been identified as 24-year-old Grand Forks resident, Anfernee Economy. The incident took place in the garage section of apartments located at the 1700 block of 36th Avenue South.

In a startling development, the suspect, a 17-year-old Grand Forks resident, has been apprehended and charged with a Class AA felony of murder. Due to being a juvenile, the suspect’s identity is being withheld at this time. The severity of the charge could lead to life imprisonment without parole.

The authorities were alerted to the stabbing just after 3:00 a.m. on Thursday morning. As the investigation unfolds, further details surrounding the motive and circumstances of the incident remain undisclosed.

  1. My deepest heartfelt sympathies to the family of the deceased victim.
    The 17 year old should be charged as an adult. The other's involved in this case should have charges against them as well, since they were kicking the victim.

  2. The one killed wasnt an immigrant. He was born in devils lake north dakota. I personally know him. He had some struggles here and there but he didnt deserve this. My heart hurts for him and his family. Idk about the 17yr old. Even the family doesnt know much either. Ive been in contact with his brother and aunt. If you want to get technical, most of us are immigrants. our ancestors immigrated here at different times which makes us immigrants as well. I was born and raised in tennessee but my ancestors immigrated from europe….dont start sh*t on this post.
