Grand Forks Crash Causes Traffic Snarl Tuesday

Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) — A two-vehicle crash led to a major traffic disruption in Grand Forks on Tuesday afternoon, though no injuries were reported.

According to police, the crash happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Demers Avenue and 42nd Street. While the collision involved only two vehicles and did not result in injuries, the crash created a significant traffic snarl during a busy time of day.

Adding to the congestion, a train was crossing 42nd Street near the scene, further backing up vehicles. Authorities said several officers were needed to redirect traffic around the area while the crash site was cleared.

Traffic flow returned to normal after the vehicles were removed and the lanes reopened. Police remind drivers to stay alert in heavy traffic areas and to use caution around intersections. Even minor crashes can create major traffic delays and safety risks for first responders.

More information on traffic safety in North Dakota can be found through the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
