Grand Forks City Flood Information Update as of 4:30 PM Sunday

this just in from the city of grand forks at 4 30 p.m on this sunday uh the national work weather service has forecasted acres to the red river over 48 feet later this week that hasn’t changed point bridge on minnesota avenue was closed at 1 p.m on this sunday the surly bridge on demers avenue remains open crews from grand forks and east grand forks expect it to close sometime on monday a notification will be made on monday with the exact time of that closure kennedy bridge expected to remain open at projected river levels uh kennedy bridge is not impacted until 52 feet the uh closure into riverside park on north first street has been installed 27th avenue north has been closed over the coulee north as shady ridge road is currently closed with south shady ridge road expected to close early monday morning first responder crews will stage equipment in that neighborhood as they get uh cut off when both roads are closed a wastewater treatment plant is still running at high capacity on saturday the plant uh pumped uh 26 million gallons which is three times normal operation the plant is expected to pump 18 million gallons on sunday residents are still asked to limit water usage for the next couple of days essential water use only no unnecessary washing machine or dishwasher use please again that was from the city of grand forks latest on the flood fight again with that crest later this week national weather service saying 48.5 uh the existing dyke system in grand forks is good to around 60 feet i’m neal carlson reporting for trfnews.i234.me [Music]
